History
The genesis of incorporation of Yayasan Falsafah dan Institusi Saiva (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Foundation’) came from Gabungan Persatuan- Persatuan Agama Saiva Malaysia (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Peravai’) which was founded in 2011.
The Peravai was established mainly to promote Saivism as an important religion at large and to create awareness and restore the history of Saivism amongst the Tamils. Further, the Peravai also undertook to propagate Saivism as the way of life to all Hindus at large and specifically to the Tamils.
The Peravai came into an understanding that a major project is inevitable to realise the main aims and purposes of the Peravai. Upon various discussions and exchange of thoughts between Dr.Nagappan Arumugam and his students, it was finally agreed to establish the Foundation to develop and build a Saiva model temple, Saiva College/Academy together with an auditorium (hereinafter referred to as ‘the three-phased development/project’).
With Almighty Shivaperumaan and Naalvar’s grace, the planning took shape into full force. Initially, Dr.Nagappan’s students from Ipoh Saiva Samaya Mandram namely Dr.Palaniappan, Mr.Kamalanathan, along with other students initiated the process of identifying suitable location near Ipoh and Tanjong Malim. However, those locations were unsuitable for the three-phased development/project. The hunt for right location continued relentlessly. Thereafter, with the help of Dr.Nagappan’s students from Klang namely, Mr Rakunathan Karalan, Mr Vijayan Ramasamy and Mr Ravichandran Supramaniam, a suitable site at Kerling, Kuala Kubu Bharu District (hereinafter referred to as ‘the said land’) was identified and acquired on 4th May 2017.
Simultaneously, all the necessary steps to establish/incorporate the Foundation were ongoing. Upon approval from the relevant ministry, the Foundation was formed with the help of a Company Secretary namely Mr K. Ramanathan, through Messrs K.Ramanathan & Co. As at to-date Messrs K.Ramanathan & Co continues to manage the Foundation among others including the financial audit.
Based on the donation and/or selfless contributions by Dr Nagappan’s Siddhantha students, the purchase price for the said land was settled and the issue document of title of the same has been registered and issued under the Foundation.
Currently, development works are in progress on the said land. The survey works have been completed and an architectural firm namely, HMSK Architect from Kuala Lumpur has been appointed as the consultant for the completion of the three-phased development/project.
The estimated costs for the development of the three-phased development/project is approximately Ringgit Malaysia 40 million.
The proposed Saiva model temple under the three-phased development/project will be built based on Saiva Agamas. Further, the proposed Saiva Academy/College also will be built amidst lush green surroundings with contemporary design and facilities. It is the aspiration of the Foundation that this three-phased development/project will be one day a centre of Saivism of the world.
By grace of Almighty Shivaperuman and Naalvars, the development works on the three-phased development/project are on-going smoothly.
As such, we appeal to all Hindus and Saivites to donate in order to realise the three-phased development/project. The generous assistance rendered by you however small, any single donation will go a long way in helping us to realise the three phased development/project. “Meinmeikol saiva neethi, vilanguga ulagamelaam!”
“Thenaadudaiya Sivane Potri, Ennaatavarkkum Iraiva Potri!”
